Firstly, thank you for considering me to officiate your funeral. I can only send my deepest sympathies that you are planning this, and I hope that should you wish to proceed with me as your funeral celebrant, you will feel confident in entrusting me to do so.

You may already have specific ideas about how you'd like your funeral to proceed, but if you do not, it is my job to help you explore your options and put to rest any worries you may have about your funeral. If you already have a funeral plan, we can review it together and see how I might fit into it. We can also keep your budget in mind, and I promise that I will endeavour to perform the best ceremony I can to suit your needs.

If you are unfamiliar with a Celebration of Life, this can take place with you alive and present, depending on the possibility, where your loved ones will join us as we celebrate your colourful and vibrant life. A Celebration of Life can look like whatever you want, from a small afternoon tea with your nearest and dearest to a larger event with as many people as you like. It all depends on what you are capable of doing and what you are most comfortable with, if at all. Alternatively, your Celebration of Life can occur after you have passed, either on the day of your funeral, after your burial or cremation, or on a day to itself. There are so many options with Celebrations of Life, and it is important to remember that, unlike a funeral, you and your body do not have to be present if you do not wish to.

You may already have your funeral planned in its entirety but would like a memorial service, ash scattering ceremony, or Celebration of Life after the funeral has taken place.
